- I am upgrading my Courier V.32 modem to 33.3. While I am waiting for my
- daughter board to arrive I decided to install a new IO card w/ a 16550 uart
- (my old card only had a 16450 uart). Ever since I installed the card I get
- random character dropouts. This even happens to the modem intialization
- string. I am running Windows 95 and have found that my my only solution is
- to disable fifo in the modems part of control panel. I am worried that this
- my cause problems when I upgrade. I have tried another IO/16550 card with the
- same result. Does anyone have any suggestions??
-
- Any help would be most appreciated.

- Thanks in advance
